Kendall Receives $1,000 Donation from Sons and Daughters of Italy Pietra Micca Lodge

On Monday, Kendall College and Career Academy accepted a generous donation from the Sons and Daughters of Italy Pietra Micca Lodge. 

The $1,000 Early Initiative Grant will strengthen Kendall’s ability to provide targeted, tiered intervention support for students in grades K–2, ensuring that young learners receive the additional instruction and resources they need during these essential early years.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Sons and Daughters of Italy Pietra Micca Lodge for their generous investment in our students and their commitment to supporting early literacy,” said Principal Jennifer Sweeters. “At Kendall College and Career Academy, we believe that strong schools are built through strong community partnerships. We are honored that the Pietra Micca Lodge has chosen to invest in the Kendall community and, most importantly, in the future of our students.”

By identifying and addressing learning needs early, Kendall aims to close achievement gaps, build strong foundational literacy skills, and ensure that all students are better prepared to access and succeed with grade-level curriculum.
