To prepare students for future college success, we partner with a wide-range of community organizations, such as Stepping Stones Children's Museum, The Carver, Yale and UConn Universities to enhance college awareness and develop goal setting skills. Through these partnerships students:

• Tour college campuses
• Host former student graduates
• Explore college majors through math and reading content

Our career and workforce development theme aims to spark curiosity, build foundational skills, and expose students to various career paths. Students learn about different professions through activities, guest speakers, and hands-on experiences. Students are also introduced to the concept of a resume and are encouraged to think about how their skills and interests can translate into future careers.

We strongly believe in embedding technology into classroom instruction. Technology is used to build fundamental skills to prepare students for future independent learning. Students use interactive games and digital applications, such as Code.org and VEX Robotics, to reinforce math, writing and reading skills.

Every student in grades 1 - 5 have their own Chromebook. In kindergarten, every child has access to an iPad. The upper grade classrooms utilize 3D printers to construct designs and projects.

Our Gifted and Talented (GT) advanced placement program takes student learning to the next level!

• GT classes provide an environment for bright minds to think in more in-depth and complex ways.
• 3rd-5th grade GT scholars dive into solving real-world and relevant problems.
• From urban planning to entrepreneurial exploration; students develop trend recognition, analytical thinking, and logical reasoning by creating self-directed projects.
• All students get access to GT through enrichment and talent development opportunities

We nurture student leaders by encouraging them to ask questions, collaborate, and innovate. Our unique programs, such as the Student Ambassadors program, KCCA News Broadcast, orchestra performances, and 5th-grade capstone presentations, provide platforms for growth and expression.

The 5th-grade capstone is a shining moment for students, where they develop research projects inspired by university-level capstones. These presentations include portfolios that highlight solutions to real-world challenges, college and career aspirations, and projects that mirror collegiate standards.
